2019 Opioid Awareness and Response:  This block of instruction will provide law enforcement with information concerning opioids and the impact that opioid abuse is having in our communities. The dangers to law enforcement of improper handling of these substances are real. We will focus on officer safety in dealing with suspected opioids. Guidelines for initial response to overdose investigations will be provided. Also included are additional resources to aid the officer in safe and successful opioid investigations.
