Goal Setting Strategies and Results Achieving Life Strategies

Students explore the connections between; goal setting and achieving results, artificial barriers and negative internal dialogue, and the development of life strategies.  They will consider real and artificial barriers, negative internal dialogue and the effects they have on life strategies. Guided discussions, case studies and practical application will allow students to consider familial, cultural, sociological, and other influences upon their decision-making process to this point. Through discussion, analysis and workshops, student’s progress towards removing artificial barriers, eliminating negative internal dialogue in order to develop the most effective life strategies.

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Accomplished Teacher, Preacher, Counselor, Strategist, Mentor, and Master Life Coach with 35 years of experience. Dave Martin hails from Forestville Connecticut. After graduating from Bristol Central High School in 1985 he went on to Hartford State Technical College and earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Architectural Design. Dave entered the delayed enlistment program for the United States Air Force October 10, 1986 and immediately following his graduation from Hartford State Tech he went to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas June 17, 1987. He went on to serve for nearly 30 years, first as a Security Forces member, then as an Instructor of Military Technology, Airman Leadership School, and then as a Security Forces Tech School Instructor. He completed his career as the Functional Manager of Occupational Safety and Health for the United States Air Forces in Europe and Africa. Dave ascended to the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt). During his enlistment, he would deploy three times in support of the Global War on Terrorism. CMSgt Martin retired from the Air Force on August 31, 2016 and went on to Pastor a non-denominational church in Somersworth New Hampshire with a regular weekly attendance of approximately 1,200 members. After two and a half years of service there Dave and his wife of 30 years felt called to move to North Carolina to be closer to their daughter’s family and their three granddaughters. They also have a son who is a third-grade school teacher in Loveland Colorado.

In addition to Dave being Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Air Force JROTC program, at North Forsyth High School, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and a volunteer Pastor at a local church, Dave Martin is the sole proprietor and owner of a Life Strategy/Coaching Company called Too Stupid To Fail, LLC.  He has helped thousands of people transform their lives and create success in their relationships, careers, families, education, health and fitness through the various roles and responsibilities he has had throughout career both on the job and off the job.

Dave has extensive program management and organizational skills which were developed as a senior non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. He is a student leader and is always seeking out new things to learn and grow in.  Dave possesses strong public speaking and conflict resolution skills. He is highly adaptable, creative, and innovative individual with an abundance of experience developed on a foundation of integrity, service, and excellence, fueled by a love of helping people develop success in any and every aspect of their lives by teaching them how to remove artificial barriers and eliminate negative internal dialogue.
