COURSE CONCEPT: The systematic analysis of written discourse – statements, transcripts, texts, emails, social media, letters, etc., can indicate indicators in the evaluation of the truthfulness of the subject as well as identify the critical points requiring further amplifying inquiry or investigation.

OBJECTIVES: Perform an analysis of a transcript of written discourse (statement, email, social media, etc.) or a transcript of an interview to evaluate the reliability of the subject; Utilizing the information gained from the analysis of discourse, identify the appropriate areas requiring further inquiry; Develop a series of appropriate interview questions to address the related investigative lines of inquiry.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY: Within the course, all concepts presented will allow the participant to “do” in order to enhance the learning experience. Actual transcripts, statements and videos of interviews will be analyzed and expanded. The hands-on methodology is designed to address successful completion of each objective by each participant.

Within the session, participants will conduct analysis on various forms of documentation and from the interviewee’s video recorded assertions.
