- Course Description: The laws and regulations that apply to HR issues are becoming increasingly complex. This course will provide an overview of relevant employment laws as well as practical guidance on common personnel issues. In addition to employment laws such as Title VII, ADA, and FMLA, topics will include interviewing and hiring practices, personnel handbooks, conducting HR investigations, effective policies and procedures, the importance of properly documenting performance issues and avoiding discrimination claims. This seminar will help you navigate the legal complexity of HR and personnel issues and will provide you with the information you need to avoid common pitfalls.Students may register for classes by emailing their requests to Chuck Adams.
