Course Description: This 24hr credit course provides participants with the opportunity to explore the key elements necessary to be successful as a leader and a manager of non-sworn personnel within a law enforcement agency. A number of topics and techniques will be discussed that will assist participants in developing a management and leadership style that will foster a spirit of collaboration and achievement. The instructors conducting this training are experienced administrators, educators, and practitioners. Topics include: Self-Assessment- 4 hours; Your Role as a Leader- 4 hours;  Effective Supervision- 4 hours; Effective Workplace Communications- 4 hours; Managing Conflict in the Workplace- 4 hours; Working Problem Employees- 4 hours
