This course is designed to assist the operators on how to gather specific intelligence on a bus during a critical incident. It prepares the operator on many options in reference to shutting the bus down, breeching windows, breeching doors, and approaches from many angles. Boarding the target during an assault and many techniques on securing occupants on the bus along with a variety of responsibilities from team members. Bus assault ladders will be implemented during evolutions.
This is an intense three- day course that will make the operator think and work in a team concept. This is not a course where you will just run on the bus screaming with your hair on fire. We will cover many techniques on conducting a rescue under control with sufficient man power. A great deal of focus will be placed on safety, speed and element of surprise. SIMS will also be implemented into this training during scenarios. In order to know that it works it must be tested.
This is a basic course but a great course for understanding the basic fundamental of bus assault/rescues. Each operator will be tested both physical and mentally during this course.
