“Tactical Mindset is an intense course that will challenge officers through lecture, discussion, and video footage of fellow officers that have been involved in a  line of duty shooting. Tactical mindset will assist officers in mental preparation for a deadly encounter. It is also designed to open the mindset to understanding obstacles that will be encountered after the shooting. This course will assist the officers in preparing for supporting fellow officers and their family after a deadly force encounter.  The course will allow officers to face reality and prepare themselves mentally and physically BEFORE the encounter occurs; and will explore the psychological and physiological aspects of a shooting event. There will be up to 9 officers attending as guest speakers during the two day seminar. Each one of them has been involved in a deadly encounter in the line of duty; either as a shooter or having been shot. They will share their experience and the aftermath of the deadly encounter. Among these officers will be S.W.A.T. Operators, detectives, agents and patrol officers. This will be an emotionally intense course and should be a valuable asset for every officer in attendance”
