(Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 2 p.m.)
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College continues to experience a power outage affecting North Campus in Salisbury. Utility crews are in the area and are working to restore power, with service expected to be restored later this evening. Some services may remain unavailable in affected areas. Canvas, Blackboard and email remain operational.
All curriculum classes scheduled at North Campus only for the remainder of today, Wednesday, November 4, will operate virtually. Students should check Canvas and their College email for additional information from their instructors. Classes at all other Rowan-Cabarrus locations will proceed as scheduled.
Corporate and Continuing Education students with classes scheduled at North Campus for today will be contacted by their instructors with information about their class format and schedule.
Employees stationed at North Campus should continue to communicate with their supervisors for instructions or alternative work arrangements for the remainder of the day.
At this time, all classes and College operations are expected to resume normal schedules on Thursday, November 5, unless otherwise notified.
Please continue to monitor your College email and check rccc.edu for updates. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as crews work to restore power
