Captain/Supervisor at Cabarrus County EMS
“There is nothing better than knowing you helped save someone’s life,” says career paramedic Chris Mills. Mills, a paramedic and tactical medical specialist who recently was promoted to captain/supervisor at Cabarrus County EMS, began his career path in the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College paramedic program and is now working toward a master’s degree.
“EMS is a challenging career, both mentally and physically, but it is entirely worth it for that special individual who is willing to make this career their life,” Mills says. “Rowan-Cabarrus Community College can help get you ready for a profession that is both fulfilling and greatly needed in the community.” Personally, he feels that the best part of his job is being able to meet patients and their families after providing lifesaving assistance.
When he is not working, Mills enjoys rock climbing, hiking and camping.
