North N105 Auditorium

Project Information

Construction is in progress for the 250-seat auditorium renovation, and includes new seating, finishes, and technology upgrades.

Demolition is nearing completion and even a little renovation has started!  The new steps up the middle of the seating areas are framed ready for concrete.

Project Information

The Ground Mount Solar Project is located on approximately six acres of land on Old Concord Road owned by the College Foundation. The site provides 1MW of electricity. The College Foundation owns the project and will receive the proceeds to support educational needs.

Fire and Emergency Service Training Facility, Phase I

Project Information

  • Construction of a new 3,500 square foot burn building, training pads for various props, such as a rail car, fuel tanker truck, driving course for fire-engines, a loop road for training fire apparatus (truck) drivers, and a green with space for the World Trade Center Memorial has been completed.
  • The Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on January 28, 2013. Construction began in May 2013.
  • The College received donated rail cars from Norfolk Southern and GATX, which will be used for training fire and emergency personnel training for incidents relating to the rail transport which is so vital to the area.

South Campus

Building 3000 Student Center Remodel

Construction is complete for the renovation of the South Campus Student Center. This expanded the Cafeteria Area, including a separate Dining/Multi-Purpose Room and food service area.

Project Information

  • The remodel of the second floor of Building 1000 converting the Student Services Offices and Testing Rooms into a One Stop concept Service Center is complete. This area is similar to that which was completed on North Campus of Summer 2012.
  • The Center includes the Navigation Station, Waiting Areas, Cashiering, Call Center, Financial Aid Offices, Student Records Offices, Counseling and Advising staff offices, conference rooms and a Testing Center.

Construction is complete at College Station, located at 489 North Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis. This campus houses Cosmetology, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Emergency Management Training (EMT) programs for Cabarrus County.
