About The R3 Center

The R3 (R-cubed) Center is an adult career development center established through Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC). The three R’s in the name of the center stand for Refocus, Retrain, and Re-employ.  We are partnered with the Rowan and Cabarrus County ESC/ JobLink Career Centers to provide services to clients who are unemployed or underemployed and are registered with the Employment Security Commission (ESC).

Mission Statement

The Refocus, Retrain, Re-Employ (R3) Career Development Center will provide unemployed and underemployed adults in Rowan and Cabarrus counties with comprehensive career development services at no cost. The Center will connect clients with training and employment opportunities at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis and other job opportunities in the surrounding region.

Clientele

  • Unemployed seeking employment
  • Underemployed (working part-time, below education level, and / or preferred pay rate)
  • Interested in exploring their interests and personality as they relate to potential careers and the job market
  • Interested in pursuing careers in or related to biotechnology at North Carolina Research Campus and other locations
  • Looking to explore training and educational opportunities
  • Wanting to become an above-average jobseeker and improve their job-seeking skills, include resume writing, interviewing, networking, and standing out amongst the competition.

Career Coaching

Our Career Coaches are available to assist you in the career development process. Clients may schedule a meeting with a coach attendance in a New Client Launch.

As a partner of the North Carolina Research Campus (NCRC), RCCC’s R3 Center is committed to assisting job seekers interested in a career at the NCRC. R3 specializes in assistance for job seekers looking to transition into different industries.
