Transfer Issues and Appeals

Transfer Success

All statewide and uniform transfer agreements have appeal processes built into the agreement language. All agreements can be located under the Articulation Agreements and Transfer Opportunities sidebar.

It is important to closely monitor all parts of the university transfer process and to swiftly pursue appeals using the steps below. The transfer of credits is time-sensitive and can impact your course schedule and tuition.

If you experience problems in the transfer process, follow these steps:

Step One: Follow the transfer appeal process outlined in the specific transfer agreement for your degree. For current students at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, make an appointment to meet with your Faculty Mentor and Career & Academic Advisor as quickly as possible. Please ensure you bring all necessary documentation with you to the appointment.

Step Two: If step one was not successful and you are transferring under the CAA, you may file a formal transfer credit appeal using the Transfer Student and Credit Appeals Portal.

Step Three: Once the transfer student and credit appeals form is received by the UNC System Office, the appeal will be forwarded to the appropriate personnel or the Transfer Advisory Committee for investigation.

You are invited to contact the Executive Director of Transfer Success & Higher Education Partnerships at Rowan-Cabarrus CC, Jenn Gardner Selby (jenn.selby@rccc.edu), to receive support with the process.
