Cosmetic Arts

About the Rowan-Cabarrus Cosmetology Clinic

The Cosmetology curriculum is designed to provide students with hands-on experience so that they can become professional beauty experts. Course work includes instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business and computer principles, and product knowledge among other things.

Graduates should qualify to sit for the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. Upon successfully passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a license.  Employment is then available in beauty salons and related businesses.

Most importantly students – within a simulated salon environment – are able to explore the complexities of styling hair, treating skin, and even designing nails as they work on paying members of the community. All of their services including hair color treatments, European facials, and french manicures are offered at reduced rates and are carried out under the careful tutelage of trained instructors.

We encourage you to enjoy our relaxing treatments and promise to pamper you while saving you money. We look forward to seeing you walk through our doors soon! Contact cosmoappt@rccc.edu to schedule your next appointment.
