Library Access for Alumni and Retired Faculty/Staff

Welcome to the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Library! We are committed to providing our alumni and retired faculty/staff access to a wealth of resources even after completing their journey with us.

Databases

As an alum or retired member of our faculty/staff, you can access library databases remotely via our consortium partner, NC Live. Here’s how you can stay connected to our resources:

  1. NC Live Registration: Visit our NC Live registration page for a free 10-day pass. After ten days, you’ll be directed to sign up for free, permanent access through your local public library.
  2. Explore the Resources: Once logged in, you’ll find it easy to access various databases covering various subjects and research needs. 90% of these resources are the same as what you were familiar with using at the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Library

Missing a Resource? The library subscribes to other resources outside of NC Live, but contractual obligations restrict remote use to current students and faculty. However, you can access those databases onsite by visiting any local campus.

Stay Engaged

We encourage our alums and retired faculty/staff to stay engaged with the library:

  • Research Help: Get one-on-one consultations and access to research guides.
  • Technology Support: Receive help with accessing and using library technology.
  • Events: Participate in library events and workshops to stay connected with the community.
  • Feedback: Your feedback is valuable. Let us know how we can improve your experience.
