Court One out of Granite Quarry, NC is searching for construction workers (surfacing crew assistant technicians) for summer 2022. Summer hours will be 40+ hours/week with an hourly pay of $18. Assist the foreman in surfacing tennis courts, assist with loading and unloading crew truck; assist with setting up job sites and staging materials. Assist with layout and striping playing lines.

Williams has internship opportunities available in Mooresville for summer 2022 and is targeting students in the following programs: Automotive Systems Technology, Electrical Systems Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology. Sales/Administrative intern position—with Genuine Parts Company (GPC) providing someone with an interest in sales the opportunity to broaden sales, communication, and business acumen skills. Develop industry knowledge through product training and directly work with the sales team and sales leaders in developing new prospects and following through with an entire sales cycle. This is a full-time, paid summer internship, typically ranging from 10-12 weeks. Throughout your internship, there will be continuous training and performance feedback to ensure you build the necessary skills to succeed. Wilbert Plastics Services – is searching for employees to fill 2 positions – Molding set up and Tooling Repair ($17-19). Responsibilities include setting up all job orders, loading and positioning tools into the molds to perform Mold changes, cleaning presses and molds and inspecting molds for defects.

Local law firm Willett Legal, PLLC searching for two legal interns – Work directly with an Attorney to learn the law and then the real-world application to firm cases. Network with Attorney at functions with senior care industry leaders, financial advisors, attorneys, and others. Some duties will include returning calls to clients, scheduling and confirming appointments, scanning and working with firm documents to become and maintain a paper-free office.

Students and recent graduates – the UNC Nutrition Research Institute is hiring for a research technician at the Sumner Lab. This position is located at the UNC Nutrition Research Institute in Kannapolis, NC. A full-time temporary Research Technician is needed for organizing, labeling, inventorying lab samples, sample preparation, literature review, and quality control. Excellent organizational and record keeping skills required, as well as ability to work independently. This full-time temporary position is expected to last 12 months. Part-time position supporting the FedEx Ground Facility maintenance effort by learning and developing standard preventative maintenance skills. This position is designed to work in conjunction with an accredited state approved college or trade/technical school program. The expected duration of the program is up to 36 months with evaluation at the end of the program for movement into a technician position. Gain working knowledge and familiarity with basic preventative maintenance work according to FXG standards ensuring all instructions are followed and that each step is fully executed. Shadow and support Technicians for sorting calls. Develop knowledge of proper basic troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and control system problems.

Will organize EHS program; create spreadsheets and databases; setup training database/reminder system; EHS recordkeeping; respond to COVID protocol/policy inquiries; coordinate EHS training and other programs; draft written correspondence, manuals, and reports; transfer paper files to electronic system; develop new incident/accident electronic database; and update EHS. Three 8-hour days per week for 24 hours. Pay Rate $17-$20. The Creators law firm out of Charlotte seeking an Rowan-Cabarrus student intern. The position would be remote/virtual and tailored to meet the students learning goals based on program of study. Intern with Turnkey Technology to gain some real-world experience and to get paid to work in your field of study.

Steel Fab Inc. is offering paid welding opportunities to Rowan-Cabarrus students. Must have in between 9-12 welding academic credits or some welding experience. Learn to perform different welding and cutting techniques using gas and electric welding equipment to fabricate steel. Perform FCAW (2G) welding. Operate air arc to remove steel (back gouging). Grind with 90-degree angle grinder. Read weld symbols and check weld size using weld fillet gauges. Heat material to required temperature using temperature sticks and heating torch/cutting torch.
