Financial Aid Census Date

Census refers to the day a snapshot is taken of a student’s registration for financial aid purposes. There is a census date for each semester.

If you increase your enrollment level after the census date, your aid will not be increased*. This means a student who is enrolled in 10 credits as of the census date, and who later adds a 2 credit hour class, will not have his/her grant aid adjusted upward to the full-time level. Rather, the aid will remain at the 3/4-time level.

Be sure you are fully registered by this date. Courses added after this date will not be considered for financial aid eligibility.

• Spring 2026: January 21, 2026
• Summer 2026: May 21, 2026

2025-2026 Bookstore Charging dates:

If you need to purchase a book for your March minimester course, please email fin.aid@rccc.edu with a screenshot of your total. Please include all charges (taxes, shipping, etc.). We will review your account, and if applicable, a voucher will be created for you to complete the purchase.

Spring 2026 Financial Aid Refund date:

Financial aid minimester refunds are tentatively scheduled to go out on March 27, by the end of the business day via BankMobile. Please remember if you have a minimester course (March 16 start date), these will not be funded until after the course begins and attendance is verified.
