What is Early Alert?

Early Alert is an academic intervention program designed to help students who are experiencing academic difficulty. Academic Advisors meet with students who have been referred by instructors to identify resources and implement strategies for success.

Early Alert is not designed to address:

  • Disciplinary Issues,
  • Disability Services and
  • Personal Counseling Issues.

My instructor submitted an Early Alert referral. What Happens Next?

An advisor will contact you to setup an appointment. During your appointment, you may discuss:

  • Academic Barriers,
  • Effective Study Strategies and/or
  • Campus Resources.

You will also develop a plan of action outlining specific actions that you can take to improve your academic performance and complete your courses successfully.
