Community Borrowers

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College encourages members of the community to use the resources of the Library. If you are not a member of the faculty, staff, or student body, you may still check out books by obtaining a Community Borrower card. There is a one-time fee of $5.00 to cover the cost of the card. The following are the requirements to become a Community Borrower:

  • Presentation of a valid North Carolina driver’s license (or a valid North Carolina state issued picture ID). We do not accept out-of-state licenses; work ID’s, rent or utility bills, etc.
  • Borrowers must be residents of Cabarrus or Rowan County.
  • 18 years old or older.
  • Completion of the “Public Patron Registration Form.”

Community Borrowers are not eligible for the following services:

  • Study room usage
  • Interlibrary Loan
  • Remote access to databases
  • Laptop or Calculator loan
  • Recalls or Holds
