Mammography Course
Mammography is 79 hours and is designed to provide professional education in the field of mammography to American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered technologists.
It has been designed to meet the MQSA requirements set by the FDA. Upon completion of this course participants will be registry eligible under ARRT’s current requirements.
The didactic section of this course is state approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) 28 class A continuing education credits. To receive ASRT credit for this course you must attend all didactic sessions in full.
Prerequisite
Students must be an ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist.
All didactic classes will be held on campus at RCCC North Campus. 50 hours (minimum) of clinical instruction will be provided to include student performance of: mammograms, quality control testing and image interpretation. Clinical schedules will be site dependent and normally require around 7 full days to complete. Schedules will be distributed to the students on the first class day.
